Discussion of the Liguus fasciatus spp.
The fasciatus is widespread throughout the main Island of Cuba, the
offshore keys and Isla de Pinos (the largest offshore key / island south of Cuba).

Type locality: Lomas de Soroa, Candelaria, Province of Pinar del Rio, Cuba.

Comment: The Clench catalog is in error. L.f. sanchezi Ledon 1944 is

Type locality: South coast of Cayo Santa Maria, Caibarien,
Province of Las Villas, Cuba.
Holotype: Collection Sanchez Roig No. 1,076.
